TODAY: Start of the 28th JFBB
Tonight begins the 28th edition of the Jewish Film Festival Berlin | Brandenburg at the Hans Otto Theater!
The festival will be ceremoniously opened with the new film by Jeanine Meerapfel, EINE FRAU (DE, AR 2021 104 MIN). This year's homage is also dedicated to her.
The opening will be moderated by Shelly Kupferberg, journalist and presenter from Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg, in front of numerous guests from politics, business, the film and media industries.
JFBB Managing Director Andreas Stein on the festival launch:
"After two years of deprivation in cultural life, we are overjoyed to be able to offer our audience again this year a Jewish Film Festival Berlin and Brandenburg in all its diverse, impressive and emotional splendor without restrictions," says JFBB Managing Director Andreas Stein and adds: "We cordially invite you to a foray through 103 years of Jewish film history between 1919 and 2022 and thank our patrons Franziska Giffey and Dr. Dietmar Woidke as well as our main sponsors Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, the state capital Potsdam and the Capital Cultural Fund for their significant support."
