The patron of the Jewish Film Festival Berlin | Brandenburg is Claudia Roth, Minister of State for Culture and Media .

"The Jewish Film Festival Berlin-Brandenburg makes Jewish life in Germany and the world visible in all its breadth and diversity. It shows very different perspectives, narratives and themes. In all this diversity, however, the confrontation with anti-Semitism, terror and trauma remain central motifs of Jewish narratives. The terror of October 7, the ongoing fear for the hostages in the hands of Hamas, but also the alarming rise in hatred of Jews in Germany are the focal points of this edition of the film festival, which inspire us all to act and reflect in solidarity. I am grateful to be the patron of this festival for my entire term of office, which creates such an important space for debate and understanding."
