In his documentary filmed shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall, Roland Steiner addressed a political taboo topic in the GDR: young people who were categorised as so-called ‘’marginalised groups‘’ or ‘’hooligans‘’. This raised questions: Why were right-wing extremist behaviour patterns - anti-Semitism included - so attractive to youth subcultures of the ‘anti-fascist state’?
