JFBB presents DAS GEHEIME STOCKWERK at the Open Air Schmellwitz
On Saturday 4 July 2026, Open Air Kinonächte Schmellwitz , in collaboration with the Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg (JFBB), invites you to a special family film night under the open sky. The award-winning children’s and family film DAS GEHEIME STOCKWERK (DE/AT/LU 2025, FSK 6) will be screened. Admission is free.
Twelve-year-old Karli discovers a mysterious lift in his parents’ old hotel that transports him straight back to the year 1938. There, he befriends Hannah, a Jewish girl, and Georg, a shoe-shiner. Together, the three of them become embroiled in a thrilling crime mystery, and Karli begins to understand the threat hanging over his new friends during the Nazi era.
The multi-award-winning film was honoured as Best Feature Film at the German Children’s Media Festival ‘Goldener Spatz’, amongst other accolades, and received further awards at children’s and youth film festivals across Germany.
