JFBB x Inselbühne Potsdam: BAD SHABBOS at the Open-Air-Summer

This summer, the JFBB once again joins forces with the Bürgerstiftung Potsdam to present open-air screenings at the Inselbühne Potsdam. The second film in the series is BAD SHABBOS by Daniel Robbins (USA 2024, 84 min), which opened the 31st JFBB in 2025.

This fast-paced comedy follows a Shabbat dinner that spirals hilariously out of control. Just before the future in-laws are about to meet for the first time, an unexpected death sets off a wildly entertaining chain of misunderstandings, desperate cover-ups and increasingly chaotic attempts to keep everything under control.

With sharp wit and impeccable comic timing, Daniel Robbins blends the spirit of classic screwball comedy with a contemporary Jewish family story, exploring tradition, expectations and family dynamics in a thoroughly entertaining way.
