JFBB x Inselbühne Potsdam: SALTY WATER at the Open-Air Summer

This summer, JFBB once again joins forces with the Bürgerstiftung Potsdam to bring open-air cinema to the Inselbühne Potsdam. Three special films from past JFBB editions will be presented under the open sky.

The series opens with SALTY WATER by Henrika Kull (DE 2023, 89 min), which won the award for Best Feature Film at the 30th JFBB in 2024. The film follows a German filmmaker and an Israeli actor spending a few days together in Israel, surrounded by poolsides, summer heat and a political reality that cannot be ignored. While the Iron Dome missile defense system keeps the war at a distance, a cautious connection begins to unfold between them.

With great sensitivity, Henrika Kull explores personal relationships shaped by history, contemporary realities and social contradictions. The film was completed before October 7, 2023.

We are especially happy that director Henrika Kull will be present for the screening and will introduce the evening together JFBB Managing Director Andreas Stein.
