The patron of the Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg has been Minister of State Wolfram Weimer, Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, since 2026. He succeeds Claudia Roth in this role.

Through his patronage, Wolfram Weimer underscores the cultural and social significance of the festival, which for many years has established itself as an important platform for exchange, encounter, and cinematic diversity.

In his message of greeting, he emphasizes the special role of the festival: “The festival makes a valuable contribution to the visibility of Jewish life and to the promotion of cultural exchange. It creates space for diverse perspectives, encourages dialogue, and thereby strengthens mutual understanding within our society.”

The Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg is delighted to have Wolfram Weimer as a committed patron who strongly supports the festival’s mission and recognizes its importance within the cultural landscape.
