A funeral service that plays out on the edge of an abyss: at a shiva twenty-year-old Danielle displays nerves of steel when both relatives and acquaintances ask her about career plans that she doesn’t even have. When her middle-aged lover shows up with his wife and baby the mood threatens to turn ugly however in this comedy, captured with both pointed situational humour and bitter irony, on the constraints of family, urban neuroses and a futile attempt to keep secrets under wraps.
