For thirty years now Zaki has been visiting Rina every summer to repaint her apartment. In order to avoid the stress and waiting times at the checkpoint, he stays over with the now 94-year-old. A tongue-in-cheek portrait of an unusual friendship.

BIO Ilay Mevorach, 28, Born in Jerusalem, currently living in Tel-Aviv. Studied at the Film and Television Department of Tel-Aviv University. Writer and director of OPEN YOUR EYS (award winning short fiction film, 2018). Screened in over 30 international film festivals, among them: Clremont Ferrand, Cleveland, Palm Springs Shortfest, Encounters Film Festival Bristol. RINA AND ZAKI is his first documentary film.
