NEVER ALONE and COEXISTENCE, MY ASS! – Two Cinema Releases Ahead of the Berlinale
At the beginning of February, the Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg (JFBB) will accompany the German theatrical releases in Berlin of two films addressing Jewish themes.
On February 2, in cooperation with UCM.ONE Film Distribution, we invite audiences to the German premiere of the feature film NIE ALLEIN (Germany, Estonia, Finland, Austria, Sweden) at Kino in der Kulturbrauerei.
Directed by Klaus Härö, the film tells the story of Abraham Stiller and his efforts to protect Jewish refugees in Finland—then allied with Nazi Germany—from deportation. The screening offers an early preview of JFBB’s Nordic Focus, which will highlight Finland, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway at the 2026 edition of the festival.
A post-screening discussion will be moderated by Lea Wohl von Haselberg and Bernd Buder (JFBB Artistic Director).

On February 4, also in cooperation with UCM.ONE, we invite audiences to the theatrical release screening of COEXISTENCE, MY ASS! (USA, France 2025) at 7:30 PM at Filmtheater am Friedrichshain.
The film follows Israeli activist and stand-up comedian Noam Shuster Eliassi during the creation of her eponymous comedy show, which unfolds amid escalating tensions from October 7 through the Gaza war. A digital Q&A with director Amber Fares and producer Rachel Lea Jones will be moderated by Naomi Levari, a member of the JFBB selection committee.
