Holocaust Remembrance Day

  1. January

Memory is not a project of the past, it is always one of the present. Today shapes our view of what we remember.

When we, the Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg, commemorate the liberation of Auschwitz this year on 27 January, it is with a particularly painful urgency given the current political situation.

For us this year, remembrance is inextricably linked to the fight for democracy, for art as an open space for remembrance and dialogue.
