A greeting from the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner.
A greeting from the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner, for the 31st Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg.
Films can build bridges by awakening understanding for the diversity of living environments. The Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg is therefore an invitation to all those interested to get to know the diversity of Jewish life. The feature and documentary films at the 31st edition of the festival will once again open up new perspectives.
The Jewish Film Festival is an important forum for intercultural and interreligious understanding. Around the film screenings, there is plenty of space for dialogue and debate to exchange views on issues concerning Jews in Germany and the world and to keep the memory of the Shoah alive.
Berlin is a city characterised by great diversity, and Jewish life is a natural part of it. The Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg repeatedly calls on us to preserve this diversity and to combat all forms of anti-Semitism.
