Lea Wohl von Haselberg, PhD, is head of the BMBF research project "Between Memory Culture and Anti-Semitism" as well as head of the junior research group "What is Jewish Film?" at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF.

In 2020, the interdisciplinary Blankensee Colloquium Jewish Film took place in Potsdam and for the first time made the research area "Jewish Film", which has hardly been developed in a structured way in German-speaking countries, the subject of interdisciplinary discussions.

In the sections Representation, Actors, Reception and Film Culture, theoretical and methodological questions as well as challenges and perspectives of Jewish film festivals were discussed and ongoing research projects were presented. The publication now documents the contributions of the colloquium and expands them to present Jewish Film Studies in the range of possible questions, objects and approaches and to arouse curiosity about this growing field of research.

Look forward to an exciting discussion!
