Idan Gilboa
BIO is a filmmaker, animator, and illustrator, and a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, where he specialized in Visual Communication. During his studies he expanded his practice in stop-motion animation and illustration through a student exchange at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York. Alongside his work in film, Idan has built a career in the creative industry, serving as an Art Director and Creative Manager at leading advertising agencies and gaming companies. His debut short film, Deadline, has been screened at more than 200 festivals worldwide and received numerous awards, including Best Animation at the Jerusalem Film Festival in 2023. His second film, Humanity Blessed Its Soul, is based on an original story by Ido Mymon.
