Celebrating Cinema Excellence

On July 9th, the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (MBB) announced this year's Cinema Program Awards, honoring 70 independent cinemas in Berlin and Brandenburg with a record sum of €1.5 million.

Among the winners: several long-time partner venues of the Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg (JFBB). In Berlin, Moviemento, Filmkunst 66, Bundesplatz-Kino, and Kino Krokodil received awards, as did Thalia Programmkino in Potsdam.

These awards recognize outstanding curatorship and commitment to vibrant, diverse, and culturally engaged programming – keeping cinema alive as a space for dialogue and discovery. Congratulations to the winners!
