films can be submitted online here.

The JFBB presents the diversity of Jewish filmmaking in several sections, including the two competitions for feature films (preferably German premieres) and feature-length documentaries (German premieres).

For further information please refer to the regulations of the Jewish Film Festival Berlin | Brandenburg.

We look forward to your submissions and wish Chag Chanukka Sameach - A Happy Hanukkah! 🕎

Sunday 12/18 marks the beginning of Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish festival commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem.

We celebrate the miracle that a small vial of oil, which normally burns for one day, burned for eight days. Therefore, we light the Channukiah for eight days to commemorate this.

We wish you and your loved ones a happy, warm and light-filled holiday season.

We bring our light to the movie theaters to dispel the darkness and hope you will join us at JFBB in 2023!

Chag Chanukah Sameach 🕎
& Shabbat Shalom
