Thank you Nicola!

Tomorrow, 12 August, the 27th edition of the Jewish Film Festival Berlin | Brandenburg opens at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam. We, the new team of the JFBB, would like to thank the festival founder and long-time director Nicola Galliner for the trust she has placed in us to continue the festival.

We agree with Minister President Dr Dietmar Woidke, who said the following when awarding her the Order of Merit of the State of Brandenburg:
"Nicola Galliner is a tireless ambassador of Jewish life in Berlin and Brandenburg. She makes a significant contribution to making Jewish culture in the region more visible and tangible again. The Jewish Film Festival is an impressive success story and a great cultural asset for people in the capital region who want to learn more about the lives of Jews in Israel and all over the world beyond news images and clichés. Being awarded the Order of Merit of the State of Brandenburg is a highly deserved honour!"
